The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) approved the review of the hydroelectric inventory studies of the Canoas River, in Santa Catarina, and the hydroelectric inventory studies of the Piuí River, in Minas Gerais. The Superintendence of Hydroenergetic Management and Studies (SGH) published the result of the two analyses, respectively, in Dispatches no. 4.521 and no. 4.533, in the Official Federal Gazette this Monday (11/28).
Two utilizations were identified on Canoas River, between its fountainhead and the São Roque Hydroelectric Plant reservoir, totaling approximately 49.3 megawatts (MW) of installed power.
On the Piuí River, located in the Paraná River water basin, a utilization was identified with 7.17 MW of installed power.
With the approval of these studies, the hydroelectric utilizations identified therein are now part of the portfolio of available plants for the elaboration of feasibility studies and basic projects.
The inventory studies approved by ANEEL, as well as the list of studies that are under analysis, can be consulted on the Agency’s website at Hydroelectric Inventoriesand Follow-up on Studies and Projects.(BT).
