Energy Auction no.008/2011 (A-1) promoted by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) sold 195 average megawatts (MWmed) from four hydroelectric plants (Itaúba, São Simão, Tucuruí and Xingó. Power from the plants totals 5,129.2 MW.Average sales price was R$ 79.99/MWh, with a discount of 2.5% compared to the initial price of R$ 82/MWh.
The auction was held on Wednesday (11/30), by Internet, with the beginning of supply set for January 1, 2012 and the closing of Energy Commercialization Contracts in a Regulated Environment (CCEAR), in the quantity of energy modality for a period of three years.FA/IW/DB.
