ANEEL (Brazilian National Agency of Electrical Energy) disclosed on Monday (12/12) the Technical Note no. 071/2011, issued by the Distribution Services Regulation Inspectorate (SRD), which has reviewed the contributions submitted to the Public Hearing No. 064 / 2011. During such hearing, improvements on aspects related to the interruptions of electricity supply by the distribution companies, especially interruptions occurred in days classified as critical, had been discussed.
As presented in the Technical Note no. 049/2011 of the SRD, made available during the hearing, the concept of critical day was created in order to differentiate more intense days, regarding emergency activities of the distribution, from ordinary days. However, despite the innovations introduced by Revisions 1, 2 and 3 of Module 8 of the Procedures of Distribution of Electrical Energy in the Brazilian National Electric System (PRODIST), it was noticed that the definition of limits for the interruptions occurring on a critical day are not yet present in ANEEL regulations.
The hearing had a contribution period from 10/20 to 12/02. Contributions from 13 agents, entities and consumers were received. Technical Note no. 071/2011 issued by SRD presents the analysis of such contributions and proposes the creation of a specific indicator in order to control the interruptions occurring on critical days. In the event the interruptions take longer than the proposed limits, the distribution company must pay an indemnity to the consumer. Check here the results of such hearing. (DS/DB/BT).
