The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) opens today (12/15) public hearing to assess the possible change of date for rate revision and annual adjustment of Empresa Força e Luz João Cesa Ltda (EFLJC). The audience, through the exchange of documents, was approved by the board of the Agency at the public meeting on Tuesday (12/13) and will receive contributions until 12/30.

The EFLJC, whose next rate anniversary is on 03/30/2012, asked the Agency to extend that deadline until 08/14/2012 in order to concatenate its rate revision to that of Centrais Elétricas de Santa Catarina S/A (Celesc), its supplier, with a review scheduled for 08/07/2012.

The Economic Regulation Superintendency (SRE), responsible for examining the petition, has recommended the extension of the validity of the rates now charged by EFLJCL. Thus, on 08/14/2012, its Third Periodic Rate Revision would be processed, with feedback of economic effects and financial resources to the original contract anniversary date – 03/30/2012.
