The A Lot of Transmission Auction No. 006/2011, held by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) on Friday (12/16), was sold Consórcio Sul Brasileiro, for BRL 49.3 million, a discount of 18.98% over the Annual Revenues Allowed (RAP)* initially established by the Agency. The Consortium is formed by Eletrosul Centrais Elétricas S.A., with 80%, and Copel Geração e Transmissão S/A, with 20%.
The RAP is the revenue that the entrepreneur is entitled for providing the transmission service from the start of commercial operations of the facility. The A Lot is composed of four lines and a substation in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná. Among the benefits of the projects are the highest reliability in serving the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre, avoiding the loss of load when the loss of parallel circuits happen, and improved customer service in the southern part of Rio Grande do Sul.
The projects are expected to generate 2,6 thousand direct jobs and entry into commercial operation is planned for 24 months.
