The E Lot of Transmission Auction No. 006/2011, held by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) on Friday (12/16), was bought by pelo Consórcio Caiuá, formed by companies Copel Geração e Transmissão (49%) and Elecnor Transmissão de Energia S/A (51%), with a bid of BRL 17,708,098.00, which represents a discount of 23% compared to the Annual Revenue Allowed (RAP) initially established by the Agency. The RAP is the revenue that the entrepreneur is entitled for providing the transmission service from the start of commercial operations of the facility.
The E Lot is composed of two transmission lines and two substations, in Paraná. With the completion of the works, scheduled for 24 months, it is expected to enhance the service to the central regional and industrial city of Curitiba, in the light of events like the FIFA World Cup, and increase service to the western region of Paraná. 1,205 direct jobs are expected to be generated.
