The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) opens today (12/22) the public hearing on the regulation of procedures for calculating the annual tariff readjustment of electricity distributors and relevant financial components contained in Modules 3 and 4 of the Tariff Regulation Procedures – PRORET. Through the exchange of documents, the hearing was approved by the Agency’s board at the public meeting held on Tuesday (12/20) and will be receiving contributions until 3/23/2012.

The Agency proposes the improvement and update of Modules 3 and 4 of PRORET, calculation procedures of the Annual Tariff Readjustment Index (IRT) already provided in resolutions and concession agreements.

The issues expected to be amended include the treatments given to the calculation of the annual revenue, the estimated amounts in the readjustment calculation, the administrative resources, and the collection of financial components.
