CLIC Energua publishes the ninth of the 30 projects selected for Revista de R&D 4th Edition, released on 08/17 during the Sixth Congress of Technological Innovation in Electric Power (CITENEL) and the Second Seminar on Energy Efficiency in the Electricity Sector (SEENEL), held in Fortaleza (CE).The goal is to provide society with the results achieved with the R&D projects. The publication on site accompanies the order of insertion in the magazine.

The eighteenth article of Companhia Paulista de Forca e Luz (CPFL Paulista), reports the creation of a crossheads of lightweight concrete (Concrelev) to replace the hardwood commonly used as raw material. The crosshead is a piece of support of the conductors (wires) of energy, installed on top of the poles of distribution networks. The research was initiated in 2006, from the crosshead of reinforced concrete, through the pursuit of a lighter material. The aggregate selected was the "Expanded Clay," with internal structure consisting of ceramic foam and a sturdy hard shell. From 2008 to 2011, the first batch to input in the market was produced. CPFL estimates that the product has lower maintenance cost and greater durability than similar products on the market, it is more feasible and beneficial to the environment. CPFL has been buying lots of products from licensed suppliers and requested in 2008, patent application with the National Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI).
