The concession contract of the F lot of transmission auction No. 004/2011, held in September last year, was signed today (01/18) at the headquarters of the National Energy Agency (ANEEL). The signing was made by Director-General of the Agency, Nelson Hübner, and representatives of company Orteng Energia Ltda.
The F Lot contains Mesquita-Timóteo 2 transmission line, 24 miles long, and substation Timóteo 2. These projects are located in the municipalities Colonel Fabriciano Ipatinga, Santana do Paraiso and Timóteo, in Minas Gerais.
On December 9 last year, the agreements of most of the lots of this event were signed, except lots A, E, F. The contract of the E Lot contract was signed on 01/12/2012, leaving only the signings of the A Lot.

The 12 lots auctioned are made up of 2,051 kilometers (km) of transmission lines and 12 substations with 6,900 mega volt-ampere (MVA) of power. The projects will be located in the states of Roraima, Pará, Mato Grosso, Goias, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Piauí, Pernambuco, Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraíba and Alagoas. The new facilities will require investments of around BRL 2.8 billion, generating 11,600 direct jobs. The period of completion is 18 to 36 months and the concession contracts last for 30 years.
