ANEEL declares public utility of lands located in six states

The Board of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Energy (ANEEL) approved on Tuesday (1/17) the declaration of public utility (DUP) of lands located in the states of Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso do Sul , São Paulo and Alagoas.

In the state of Paraná, the DUP in favor of the company Chopim Energia S/A encompasses areas of land for implementation of the hydropower plants (HPPs) São João and Cachoeirinha, located in the municipalities of Clevelândia and Horório Serpa. In Santa Catarina, areas of land necessary for implementation of the Small Hydropower Plant (SHP) Portão, located in the municipalities of São José do Cerrito and Campo Belo do Sul were declared of public utility in favor of the company J. Malucelli Energia S/A. In the municipalities of Palhoça and São José, strips of land encompassing a distance of 25 meters, for implementation of the 138kV transmission line Aérea Palhoça (Esul) were declared of public utility in favor of Celesc Distribuição S/A. And in the municipality of Joinville, strips of land to implement the relocation of the 138KV transmission line Ilhota – Joinville were declared of public utility in favor of Eletrosul Centrais Elétricas S/A.

In Rio Grande do Sul, areas of land for implementation of the 69kV transmission line Nova Petrópolis II – Gramado were declared of public utility in favor of Rio Grande Energia S/A (RGE). Also, an area of land of ​​1.105 hectares for expansion of Substation Tapera 2, of 230/69/13.8kV, with processing capacity of 83MVA, located in the municipality of Tapera (RS), was declared of public utility in favor of the company Eletrosul Centrais S/A.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, the areas of land located in a strip 45 meters wide, 279km in length, will be required for the passage of the 230kV transmission line Anastácio – Corumba. In this case, the DUP was in favor of Linha de Transmissão Corumbá Ltda. For Empresa Energética de Mato Grosso Sul S/A (Enersul), areas of land located in a strip 25 meters wide, 28.35km in length, were declared of public utility for implementation of the 138kV transmission line Chapadão – Chapadão do Sul, which will pass through the municipalities of Chapadão do Sul and Cassilândia.

In São Paulo, areas of land located in a strip 13 meters wide, required for implementation of the Extension Esplanada, connecting the Substation Esplanada to Extension Cotia, in the municipality of Embu, were declared of public utility in favor of Eletropaulo Metropolitana Eletricidade de São Paulo S/A.

The agency declared of public utility areas of land located in a strip of land 40 meters wide, 45.8km in length, in favor of the Companhia Hidroelétrica do São Francisco (Chesf), for implementation of the 230kV transmission line between Substation Arapiraca IIII and sectioning of the 230 kV TL Rio Largo II – Penedo C1, located in the municipalities of Arapiraca, Junqueiro, São Sebastião and Teotônio Vilela, in the state of Alagoas.

The general procedures for applications for declaration of public utility of areas of land required for implementation of facilities for generation, transmission and distribution of electricity by concessionaires, permit holders and authorization holders for purposes of expropriation and creation of administrative easements are available in ANEEL Resolution 279/2007.
