The deadline for submitting studies for the II National Electric Sector Geoprocessing Meeting (II ENGEO), which will be held April 12-13 at Mar Hotel, in Recife (PE), finishes 1/31.Directed towards the community of Geographic Information System (GIS) users, the meeting aims to stimulate the promotion of results obtained by sector institutions, companies and professionals in programs and projects that use geoprocessing as a tool to improve electricity services in the country.
The event will be held by Companhia Hidro Elétrica do São Francisco (CHESF) and it has the support of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL), which promoted I ENGEO in 2006.
The study submission process will be online, at link , and the sending of hard copies or copies by email will not be accepted. Projected themes are transmission, generation, environment, distribution and business experiences.The papers will be evaluated by the II ENGEO Technical Commission and the list of selected papers will be released by 3/9. All approved and presented papers will be published in the meeting’s annals, and the authors of the three best papers will win certificates of classification and gifts to be defined by the Coordinating Committee.
