ANEEL approves regulatory agenda for 2012/2013 biennium

The board of the National Agency for Electrical Energy (ANEEL) approved, in a collegiate meeting held today (31/01), the Indicative Regulatory Agendafor the 2012/2013 biennium. The agenda includes the set of activities, with their respective schedules, for the next biennial cycle of the Agency’s work.

The agenda features 64  themes susceptible to regulation or procedural improvement. The document remained under public hearing from 27/10/2011 to 28/11/2011. During that time, ANEEL recieved 177 contributions from 23 agents. Check the list of contributions sent to ANEEL and the documents regarding the agenda approval procedure here. The purpose of the hearing was to discuss the thematic pertinence of consultation and public hearings for the 2012/2013 biennium and its respective schedules.

The head reporter on the procedure, Romeu Rufino, highlighted that the agenda has an indicative character, hence, other relevant themes may be implemented. The Agency may also promote occasional alterations, considering the regulatory dynamics.
