The calculation memory revision process relating to the Special Incentive Scheme for Infrastructure Development (REIDI) is under public hearing. The objective is to update the calculation methodology according to the Reference Price Database of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL). Contributions may be submitted as of today until 3/2.
 
The factors are applied to investments in transmission lines, modules of major equipment for transformation and reactive control, maneuver modules, and general transmission substation infrastructure modules, according to the PIS/PASEP and COFINS on each cost element.
 
The REIDI affects the calculation of Annual Revenue Ceiling for transmission auctions and the Annual Allowed Revenue (RAP) for transmission reinforcements to be perceived by the transmitter. Therefore, it contributes to low tariffs.

*Annual Allowed Revenue (RAP) – the annual revenue granted to the transmission company for the provision of public transmission services to users, as from entry into commercial operation of the facilities. Its amount is obtained as a result of the auction or authorization of reinforcements.
