The board of the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) approved at the collegiate meeting held last Tuesday (02/07), the update of the service lives of assets and facilities in service in the electricity sector. The matter was the subject of Public Hearing No. 121/2010, held between 12/17/2010 and 03/04/2011.
With the decision, the percentages associated with the depreciation rates of assets (assets and facilities) used for the performance of activities of electric power were updated.
In addition to establishing new rates for annual depreciation for assets in service, the resolution adopted amends the Manual Control Sheet for the Electricity Sector (MCPSE) and determines that utilities undertake the calculation and accounting of new periodic shares of depreciation as of 01/01/2012.
