The board of the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) approved today (02/28) public hearing for contributions to the draft announcement of Transmission Auction No. 003/2012, the second of its kind this year.The auction is scheduled for 04/20 and, in principle, will have four lots in the states of Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará, Bahia and Minas Gerais.
The lots gather six lines and six substations, and two transmission facilities of exclusive interest of power generation for shared connection (ICG).Lots A and D, in Pernambuco and Minas Gerais, are aimed at serving the metropolitan areas of Recife and Belo Horizonte, because of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.The transmission facilities are expected to start commercial operation within 22 months, counted from the date of signature of the respective concession contracts.
