The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) wants to hear society out about the proposal for amendment of the contract anniversary date of Empresa Luz e Força Santa Maria S./A. (ELFSM), located in Espírito Santo.The goal is that the contract anniversary date is transferred from 02/07 to 08/15, so that the third periodic rate revision (RTP) of the concessionaire is performed on 08/15/2012 and the following annual rate adjustment on 08/15/2013.
The measure is intended to reconcile the date with that of Espírito Santo Centrais Elétricas S./A. (Escelsa), which is ELFSM’s supplier. Thus, it would be possible to reduce the uncertainty about possible changes in supply rates in order to eliminate costs to the consumer.
The utility serves 10 municipalities in the state of Espirito Santo. If the proposal of amendment is confirmed, the effects of the 3rd RTP on August will be retroactive to 02/07.
