The result of the A-5 auction of 2011 is approved by ANEEL

The executive board of the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) approved at the meeting this Tuesday (03/06) the approval of the result of Auction No. 07/2011 (A-5) held on 12/20/2011 for hiring energy from hydroelectric plant, wind farm and biomass-fired plant.With the decision, grants were awarded to mills members of the event.

According to arrangements promoted by the Special Licensing Committee (CEL) of ANEEL, the winning proponents of the contest are in default with the sectorial obligations and have qualification documents in accordance with the stipulations in the tender.As for buyers, it was found that concessionaires Companhia de Eletricidade do Amapá (CEA), Celg Distribuição S/A, Companhia Estadual de Distribuição de Energia Elétrica (CEEE-D), Companhia de Energia Elétrica do Estado do Tocantins (Celtins), Empresa Elétrica Bragantina S/A (EEB) and Empresa Energética de Mato Grosso do Sul (Enersul) are delinquent with their sectorial obligations.

As a result, ANEEL determined the forwarding of the Report of the Qualification Trial to the Superintendency of Economic and Financial Monitoring (SFF) issued by CEL, for calculating the default situation of the buying concessionaires mentioned.The Board also decided to notify the CEA within 10 days of receipt, the company is manifested as to the possible exclusion of the amount of energy demanded by her in the contest.

Finally, the Agency opened a deadline of 10 days from receipt of notification so the sellers of the auction show an interest in reducing the number of lots offered.

The auction ended with the hiring of energy from 42 tendered projects (HPP São Roque, in Santa Catarina, 39 wind farms in the states of Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Rio Grande do Norte and Rio Grande do Sul, and two biomass-fired plants located in the states of São Paulo and Goiás).
 
The beginning of the supply of these companies hired is scheduled for 01/01/2016, with the closure of Energy Trading Contracts in Regulated Environments (CCEAR) in terms of amount of energy for HPP São Roque, with duration of 30 years, and availability lasting 20 years for other plants.(DB/BT).
