The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) approved the review of the hydroelectric inventory studies of Rio das Antas, in the section upstream from the Garça Branca Small Hydroelectric Plant, including the Lajeado Grande, Capetinga and Tracutinga tributaries in Santa Catarina.Agency approval was published in the Official Federal Gazette (DOU) on 3/5, through Dispatch no. 667.
Elaborated by Lombo do Cavalo S/A, these studies total an inventoried power of approximately 34 megawatts (MW), distributed over eleven utilizations.
In the DOU of 3/6, ANEEL also published Dispatch no. 681, which rejected the hydroelectric inventory studies of Rio do Frade, located in Rio Grande do Sul.Owned by Rio do Frade Geração de Energia S/A, the study did not present the minimum technical content for characterizing the energy potential in the river under study.
In the case of the approved study, the hydroelectric utilization identified therein is now part of the portfolio of available plants for the elaboration of feasibility studies and basic projects.
