Lot A of Transmission Auction no. 02/2012, held by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Board (ANEEL) this Friday (3/9), was won by the Sino-Copeliano Consortium comprised of Copel Geração de Energia S/A (49%) and State Grid Brazil Holding S/A (51%).Three consortiums and one company presented proposals.After opening the bidding phase on speaker phone, without any new proposals, the bid worth R$ 126,420,000.00 was declared the winner, representing a discount of 43% compared to the Permitted Annual Revenue (PAR) initially projected by the Agency.PAR is the revenue to which a company has the right for providing transmission service after the start of commercial operations at the installations.
Lot A is comprised of the Paranaíta, Cláudia and Paranatinga substations and the Paranaíta–Cláudia, Cláudia–Paranatinga and Paranatinga–Ribeirãozinho 500 Kilowatt (KW) transmission lines in Mato Grosso.Construction should be concluded in 32 months after signing the concession contract, and it will create a projected 6.750 direct jobs.The Paranaíta-Cláudia-Paranatinga-Ribeirãozinho transmission lines will flow the energy generated from the Teles Pires and Colider plants.In the future, other plants will be connected to these substations.
