Board changes the tariff anniversary for Empresa Força e Luz João Cesa

Fonte: ANEEL

Today (3/13), the board of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) decided to change the base date for Empresa Força e Luz João Cesa Ltda.’s (EFLJCL) periodic tariff review and annual readjustment, and to extend the tariffs currently in effect at the distributor until the same date. The measure was taken so the utility can align its tariff anniversary date to that of Centrais Elétricas de Santa Catarina S/A (Celesc-Dis), its supplier, which will be reviewed 8/7.

The next tariff anniversary for EFLJCL would be on 3/30, but it asked ANEEL to extend the period, since the tariff calculations that refer to Celesc-Dis have an impact on Parcel A of the company’s tariff. This subject was the theme for Public Hearing no. 74/2011 held 12/15/2011 to 12/31/2011, without any registered contributions.

With this decision, EFLJCL’s Third Periodic Tariff Review will be valid starting 8/14, with the economic and financial effects retroactive to the original contract anniversary date (3/30). The variation in revenue resulting from the difference between tariffs actually applied from 3/30 to 8/13 and those defined in the review approval will be considered a financial component in the following tariff readjustment on 8/14/2013.

The resolution approved by the Agency, which regulates those changes mentioned, also sets the values for the Electric Services Inspection Tax (TFSEE) and the Global Reversion Reserve (RGR), both of which refer to the period from March to July 2012, as well as the share for the Fossil Fuel Consumption Fund for Isolated Systems (CCC-ISOL), which refers to April to August 2012.
