It was presented at the hearing the proposal of the average effect of the third preliminary rate revisions of EBB which provides the adjustment of – 1.36% (negative) in consumers’ bills. The final index of the revision of EBB will be approved by an ANEEL board meeting to be held after consideration of the contributions made at the public hearing.

Documents relating to the proposal are available in the "ANEEL" profile, on the link Hearings/Consultations/forum/ address of the www.aneel.gov.br.

The rate revision is foreseen in the concession contracts in order to get the balance of rates based on the remuneration of investment companies focused on the provision of distribution services and coverage of expenses actually recognized by ANEEL. It is applied to the distribution companies every four years on average.

Due to the discussions concerning the methodology for the 3rd cycle of periodic rate revisions, there was no time to perform RTP of the EBB on the date specified in the concession contract (05/10/2011). For this reason, the rates were extended, as required by Resolution No. 471/2011. Read more about the prorogation of the rates.
