Basic projects of SHPs and inventory studies were approved

The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) has approved the basic project of Small Hydro Power (SHP) Paredão de Minas and Serra das Agulhas, both in the state of Minas Gerais. Decisions, recorded respectively in Orders No. 934 and 937, were published in the Official Journal of the Union, in editions of yesterday (03/21) and today (03/22).

The SHP Paredão de Minas, owned by the company Paredão de Minas Energia S./A., is located in the Sono river and has an installed capacity of 22.5 megawatts (MW). Owned by Sigma Energia S./A., the SHP Serra das Agulhas is located in Rio Pardo Pequeno river and has an installed capacity of 28 MW.

ANEEL also published in yesterday’s Journal (03/21), Order No. 933, which records the approval of hydropower inventory studies of Rio Corumbá, Goiás, in the passage between the tailrace of the hydroelectric power plant (HPP) Corumbá III and backwater of the reservoir of HPP Corumbá I. Prepared by the company Optigera S./A. These studies have a total scheduled power of approximately 441 MW, distributed in six hydroelectric plants.

The hydroelectric plant identified joins the portfolio of plants available for preparation of feasibility studies and basic project.
