The board of the National Agency of Electrical Energy (ANEEL) decided on Tuesday (April 17th) to approve the second stage of the Public Hearing No. 81/2011 in order to receive contributions regarding the definition of criteria for the execution of bilateral agreements (between generators and distributors) in auctions of new generation enterprises.
The hearing began today (April 19th) and contributions can be received by April 30. The Agency's proposal anticipates that the Contracts on Energy Commercialization in Regulated Environment (Contratos de Comercialização de Energia no Ambiente Regulado- CCEAR) may be suspended, postponed, reduced or terminated, provided that such is stated in the bilateral agreements signed between the agents.
Those interested in contributing to the second stage of the hearing may submit suggestions to the e-mail ap081_2011_fase2@aneel.gov.br, via fax (61) 2192-8839 or send them to the address : ANEEL at Quadra 603, Módulo I, Térreo, Protocolo Geral, ZIP: 70830-030, in Brasília (DF).
CEA – At the same meeting, ANEEL decided to exclude the Electricity Company of Amapá (Compania Elétrica do Amapá- CEA) from the 2nd Alternative Sources Auction held in 2010. According to the Agency, the distributor does not meet financial guarantees requirements for the signing of CCEARs. With the exclusion of the company, the energy allocated to CEA will be redistributed among the other distributors in the event. (DB / PG)
