The Lot A of the Transmission Auction  No. 03/2012, conducted by the National Agency of Electrical Energy (ANEEL) on Friday (09/03), was purchased by the Hydroelectric Company of São Francisco (Companhia Hidroelétrica do São Francisco – CHESF), the only bidder for the lot. The company bid in the amount of R$ 8,310,732, representing a discount of 7% over the Allowed Annual Revenue (AAR) provided by the Agency – in the amount of R $ 8,936,280. AAR  is the amount that the entrepreneur is granted with for the delivery of the transmission services from the date of entry into commercial operation of the facility.

Lot A is composed of the substations Mirueira II and Jaboatão II 230/69 KV, in Pernambuco. Construction must be completed in 20 months after signing the concession contract, and the enterprise is expected to create 498 direct jobs. The substations are intended to respond to the expansion of energy demand in the north and south areas of the metropolitan region of Recife, as to solve the problem of depletion in the processing of capacity.
