The tender of the Transmission Auction No. 05/2012, scheduled to be promoted by the National Agency of Electrical Energy (ANEEL) on June 6thatthe headquarters of BM&FBovespa in Sao Paulo, is being finalized and will be submitted to approval from the Agency's board collegiate in a public meeting onMay 2nd. It will be the third transmission bidding procedure this year and, initially, it will comprise six lots in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Parana, Bahia and MinasGerais.
The lots comprise six transmission lines and seven substations. The transmission facilities are expected to enter into commercial operation in 24 months, from the date of signature of the respective concession contracts. Lot D, which includes transmission line Itabirito 2 – Vespasiano 2, in Minas Gerais, had no bidders in the Transmission Auction No. 03/2012 held on April 20th and will be among the lots offered in the Auction No. 05/2012.
In the event there are no changes in the terms of the tender during the Public Meeting of the Board, 588 km of transmission lines and 975 mega-volt-amperes of power will be auctioned. The maximum Allowed Annual Revenue* is R$ 99.7 million.
