Fonte: ANEELThe Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) denied the appeal filed by Companhia Elétrica do Estado da Bahia S.A. (COELBA) against a fine at the amount of R$10,792,370. The measure was taken during the Public Meeting of the Board, last Wednesday (5/2). The decision ends the company’s possibility of appeal at the administrative level.
The penalty imposed by the Supervisory Superintendence of Electricity Services (SFE) with respect to nonconformities relating to the supply voltage levels of consumer units in the sample years 2009 and 2010 occurred during the technical supervision.
Under ANEEL’s supervision, the distributor did not follow the deadlines set by the Distribution Procedures (PRODIST) and provided compensation for consumer units with inadequate voltage levels after the deadline. (VS/PG)
