Companies are authorized to act as independent producers in the RN and RS

The Board of the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) authorized five companies in Rio Grande do Norte to act as independent producers of electricity through the deployment and operation of wind farms. The collegial decision came at a meeting held last Tuesday (05/08). During the meeting, the Board of the Agency also authorized the establishment and operation of small hydro power plant – SHP Bela União by the Development and Power Cooperative Generation – COOPERLUZ in the state of Rio Grande do Sul

Companies of Rio Grande do Norte Central Eólica Acari Ltda, Central Eólica Albuquerque Ltda, Central Eólica Anemoi Ltda, Central Eólica Apeliotes andCentral Eólica Arenawill deploy and operate wind farms Riachão I, Riachão II, Riachão IV, Riachão VI and Riachão VII respectively, all located in the municipality of Ceará Mirim. The plants will share a lifting 230/34,5 kV substation, which will be interconnected to the Basic Network through a 230 kV transmission line, which also has shared use in the future 500/230/69 kV Extremoz II Substation, owned by transmitter CHESF. SHP Bela União, however, will be installed in the municipalities of Três de Maio and Santa Rosa, with installed power of 2250 kW.
