The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) promotes next Friday (06/01) onsite session in Florianópolis (SC) to submit the proposal to the preliminary index of the third periodic rate revision of Centrais Elétricas de Santa Catarina S.A- CELESC. ANEEL's proposal to revise CELESC provides an adjustment of 0.32% for the prices of consumers served by the concessionaire. The distributor provides electricity to 2.4 million consumer units.

The onsite session will be held from 8am to 12pm, at the Paulo Stuart Wright plenary of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Santa Catarina – Palácio Barriga Verde – located at Rua Dr. Jorge Luz Fontes, 310, Centro. The rate revisions promoted by ANEEL are preceded by public hearings, in which the agency seeks to hear society out and receive contributions from industry agents and stakeholders in the process. In addition to attending the onsite session on Friday, people can send contributions until 06/18/2012 to the e-mail address: ap032_2012rv@aneel.gov.br. After finishing the period of contributions, the matter shall be decided at the Board meeting which will decide the final index to be practiced by the distributor as of 08/07/2012.

The rate revision is foreseen in the contracts and aims to achieve the economic and financial balance of the concession.
