Starts today (07/11) the deadline for submission of contributions to Public Hearing No. 052/2012.The goal is to collect subsidies for the improvement of Normative Resolution No. 427/2011 regarding the revision of the costs of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) as a reference for application to thermoelectric plants (TEPs) of Amazonas Energia.

The resolution provides reference values ​​for the reimbursement, through the Fuel Consumption Bill (CCC), of the distribution of own generation of isolated systems, with the cost of this generation being segregated into three parts: fuel, investment and O&M.The portion relating to O&M has origins in fixed and variable costs and depends on the technology generation plant.

The National Agency of Electrical Energy (ANEEL) found that plants of Amazonas Energia operate with the capacity factor at a level below the references used by REN No. 427/2011, being committed to pay its fixed cost.The purpose of the hearing is to discuss the revision of O&M values ​​listed in the standard to correct the low capacity factor of power plants and to reflect the actual costs of operating plants.
