The board of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) approved today (9/25) a public hearing to amend Normative Resolution 270/2007, which addresses the quality of the public electricity transmission service. The hearing will begin next Thursday (9/27) and should receive contributions by October 18 this year.
The Agency’s proposal aims to standardize the above resolution to enable transmission concessionaires that opt for agreement extensions to have the same treatment given to concessionaires from the bidding process.
For that purpose, the following paragraph should be included in Article 3 of the standard: “For Transmission Functions of the extended concession, as from 2012, the provisions of this Resolution shall apply, except as provided in relation to the addition of the Annual Allowed Revenue and the Shutdown Duration Patterns”.
Those interested in attending the hearing may send contributions until 10/18 to the email ap076_2012@aneel.gov.br, fax +55 61 2192-8839 or to the Agency’s address (SGAN, Quadra 603, Módulo I, Térreo, Protocolo Geral, CEP: 70.830-030), in Brasília (DF). (DB/PG)
