The deadline for submission of contributions to the Public Hearing, which will discuss establishing the methodology for calculating the Usage Charges of the Transmission System – TUSTs starts today (11/01), as determined by Provisional Measure No. 579/2012. The hearing was approved on Tuesday (10/30) at the Public Meeting of the Board.

For public utilities transmission choosing the extension of their concession contracts, there will be new Annual Revenue Allowed – RAP. Thus, to meet the goal of Provisional Measure No. 579, of 2012, to reduce the cost of electricity to the consumer, new TUSTs shall be calculated, considering the new RAP.

The proposal under public hearing discusses the extraordinary calculation under Decree No. 7805, of 2012, from January 1 to June 30, 2013. The establishment of the TUST for the 2013-2014 rate cycle is being analyzed in specific process with proposed regulations to be placed in a public hearing in early 2013.
