IASCThe Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) [Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica] discloses the list of dealer finalists for the ANEEL Satisfaction Index (IASC) award. In this edition, 27 distributors are finalists in nine award categories. See here. The winners will be known on December 13, during the award ceremony of the distributors best evaluated by their customers. The ceremony for the awards will be held in the auditorium of the Agency in Brasilia, from 10.30. The IASC reflects the residential consumer perception about the quality of services provided by 63 distribution utilities.

The distributors compete in nine award categories: IASC Brazil, which will award the dealership with the best index of consumer satisfaction in the country, IASC Regional and Greater Growth Award 2010/2012. In the case of the regional awards the best companies will be chosen in seven categories divided by region and number of consumers served. In the category "IASC Brazil" all dealerships compete.

The survey of the 2012 edition of the IASC research was carried out from September 3 to October 17 this year. In the period 19,470 residential consumers were heard in 475 municipalities on the performance of the services provided by dealers in their respective areas. The statistical sample was proportional to the population served in each concession area.

Held annually in order to encourage improvement in the quality of services provided by distributors, the IASC research began to reward, since 2000, the most efficient distributors in the consumers’ perception. These dealers receive from the ANEEL a certificate and a seal of quality, which can be used in publicity material. (MB/PG)
