The company Cargill Agrícola S/A was authorized to act as the electricity autoproducer agent * from the construction and operation of thermal power plant (TPP) Cargill – Três Lagoas, located in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul The thermal plant with six megawatts (MW) of installed power , will use wood chips as fuel.
The authorization was decided at the meeting of the board collegiate ANEEL held last Tuesday (12/04). Currently, Brazil has 282 electricty autoproducers, of which 33 sell surplus energy produced.
