The board of directors of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica – ANEEL) decided on Tuesday (12/11) to hold a public hearing to amend the resolution that addresses the requirements and criteria for modification of the system of exploitation of concessions for hydroelectric power generation aimed at public services.

The hearing is open to receive contributions since last Thursday (12/13). The Agency's proposal aims to condition the approval of the change of the regime of exploitation of exploitation that has purchase and sale of energy concluded with distribution agent for Distributed Generation, by bilateral contracts prior to Law No. 10848/2004 and by Trading Contract of Electricity in the Regulated Environment (CCEAR) when it is possible to identify the enterprise that gives ballast to the selling agent.

The stakeholders may send contributions until January 14, 2013 to the e-mail ap106_2012@aneel.gov.br, by fax (61) 2192-8839 or to the Agency’s address (SGAN, Quadra 603, Módulo I, Térreo, Protocolo Geral, CEP: 70.830-030), in Brasília (DF).
