Approved in September 2010, Resolution No. 414, which is about the rights and duties of power consumers, has undergone several changes and now has a new version available on the Agency’s website. Check here the updated version of Resolution No. 414/2010 and the folder with the main topics of the standard. In all, 13 resolutions brought innovations and modified the text of Resolution No. 414. Among the novelties is the definition of the term "business hours", which will be, from now on, considered the period from 8AM to 6PM on weekdays (articles 172 and 176). In cases of contract termination requested by the consumer, the final billing should be done within 3 (three) days in the urban area and 5 (five) days in rural areas (article 70).
Another change is the extension of the deadline for transfer of assets of public lighting, which changed to January 31, 2014. In July this year, the procedures for requesting and receiving reimbursement from electrical damage were also modified, with the standardization of how the distribution companies would deal with the requests for refunding due to electrical damages, with processing of requests, with the response to the consumer by means of reparation and maintenance of information for purposes of future conference.
