Until 1/21/2013, the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) will be receiving contributions from those interested in discussing the definition of the annual budget and the unit cost of the Fuel Consumption Account – CCC for the year 2013. The opening of the Hearing was approved on 12/18/12 at a Public Meeting of the Board of the Agency.
To define the subject, ANEEL relies on information of the CCC Annual Cost Plan (PAC), prepared by Eletrobrás, and the Isolated System Operation Plan for 2013. The PAC defines expected fuel and generation amounts of all available sources, including from power imports, and the financial support necessary to cover the total generation cost of the isolated systems by the CCC for the calendar year.
The CCC was established by Act 5,899/1973 to fund the fuel used by thermal power plants to generate power in isolated systems, located in the North region. The cost of purchasing fuel for generation of these plants is divided among all distribution concessionaires and the monthly amount is proportional to the markets served by the company. It is calculated by ANEEL and managed by Eletrobrás.
Those interested may submit contributions until 1/21 to the email: ap110_2012@aneel.gov.br, fax +55 61 2192-8839 or to the Agency’s address (SGAN, Quadra 603, Módulo I, Térreo, Protocolo Geral, CEP: 70830-030), in Brasília (DF). (PG)
