The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) approved today (Jan, 29) the opening of the public hearing regarding the 3 th Cicle of Tariff Review of CEMIG Distribuição S.A. which attends 7 million consumer units in 805 municipalities. Its objective is to receive conttribuitions from the society about the tariff review process of the concessionaire, which will have an adjustment in its tariffs from april, 8 onwards. The hearing process will start next Thursday (Jan, 31) and will proceed up until March , 1. The presence session will take place on February, 27, in the city of Belo Horizonte (MG).
The sum submitted to the hearing by ANEEL consists of a proposal of an average initial readjustment of 6,36%for the concessionaire’s consumer set. The final índex will only be known in the beggining of April, when the subject matter will be deliberated by the Agency Board in an Ordinary Public Meeting.
The Tarrif Review is established in the concession agreements and aims to obtain a tarrif balance based on the investiment remuneration of the companies dedicated to rendering distribution services and the coverage of expenses effectivelly acknowledged by ANEEL. It is applied to the distribuition concessionaires every four years, on average.
The hearing will also discuss the service quality and the continuity indicator limits *DEC and **FEC of the CEMIG sets estupulated for the period from 2014 to 2018.
