The period for submission of contributions to Public Hearing 001/2013, which aims to discuss the improvement to the rainfall bias removal methodology used in rainfall-runoff models, is already open.
The need to discuss the matter was based on the perception that the current rainfall bias removal methodology is not sufficient to approximate the expected and observed rainfall rates, especially when precipitation values are very high. This situation causes significant shifts between the expected and observed flows, with repercussions in the planning of the operation and formation of power prices in the short-term market.
