Today (03/08) another step was fulfilled of the Public Hearing which discussed the 3rd Periodic Tariff Review for Energisa Sergipe – Distribuidora de Energia S.A. (ESE), with the holding of the live session in Aracaju. ESE serves approximately 630 thousand consumer units located in 63 municipalities in the state of Sergipe.
The live session of the Public Hearing, chaired by ANEEL director Edvaldo Santana, counted on the presence of 35 participants, among consumers, community leaders, Consumer Councils, representatives from distributors and from the convening agency.
The preliminary proposal was presented which foresees a preliminary readjustment of 6.49% (positive) for the residential consumer’s tariff in the concession area of Energisa Sergipe. For the industries, the proposal is of an average reduction of 1.14% (negative). The definite index for the concession company’s review will be approved in an ANEEL board of directors meeting to be held after the analysis of the contributions received. The new tariffs will go into effect on 04/22/13.
The tariff review is foreseen in the concession contracts and has the objective to obtain the balance of the tariff based on the remuneration of the companies’ investments aimed to the providing of distribution services and coverage of expenses effectively acknowledged by ANEEL. It is applied in the distribution concession companies every four years, on average.
