The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) approved today (3/12) the opening of a Public Hearing to collect subsidies for improvement of Auction Notice 04/2013-ANEEL (Auction A-0-2013). The hearing will also discuss the draft of the Regulated Environment Electricity Trade Agreement (CCEAR) referring to the contracting of electricity from existing generation projects. The period for contributions is from March 13 to 28.
 
The event is expected to take place in May this year and the supply should start as from June 1, 2013, ending June 30, 2015. The electricity traded will be subject to a CCEAR by quantity, for all power sources.
 
The document follows the guidelines for the auction published by Ordinance 47/2013, of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME). On the occasion, the dispatch of the Ordinance designating members who will compose the Existing Committee on Power Auctions was also approved.
