The Board of Directors of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL – Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica) approved last Tuesday (03/12) the opening of a public hearing to debate the procedures that were done in Short Term Market that may have lead to possible losses or profits on part of the agents.
The aim is to discuss the undoing or the non seasonality* done for the months of January and February 2013. Besides this, the Hearing proposal provides for a regulation establishing that for the year 2013, the seasonal adjustments occur in a flat manner and can be modified for the months starting in April.
